Assignment in Brittany
Hi Ladies,
We had a fascinating discussion last night led by Lori Fronk. Thank you to Lori for all the research and interesting insights. Also - thank you to Laura for opening her beautiful home to us and providing such wonderful refreshments. The brie cheese with walnuts and honey was scrumptious.
One of the most interesting insights was the fact the when this book was written - the war was not over and the outcome was not certain.
We discussed future books and came up with a nice list. We are happy to have more suggestions.
We decided to read A Tale For the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki and will meet on January 11th 2018 at Chris King's.
Here is the list of suggested books for future reading
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
The Shack
The Rent Collector
Watership Down
Being Mortal
A Gentleman in Moscow
Jane Eyre
Little Women
Feel free to add your comments....
Happy reading!!
